Winter at Pope Farm Conservancy

Make the most of our Wisconsin winter weather by enjoying some fresh air and outdoor fun at Pope Farm Conservancy!

The conservancy is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. It’s a great place for trekking through snow, winter birding, and even photography. With sufficient snow accumulation, visitors are welcome to come and enjoy winter activities, such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking, and sledding.

REMINDER: Please stay on the designated trails and do not venture out into the prairies or crop fields. The lower parking lot off Old Sauk Road will remain open and plowed through the winter months. All other parking lots will be closed.

❄️ 2023 Winter Outing at PFC ❄️

The Programs Committee is once again hoping to schedule a winter outing at the conservancy in January or February 2023. All are welcome to join us for a winter trek around the conservancy. Bring your own hiking boots, cc-skis, or snowshoes!

The date for this outing is TBD, based on weather conditions and snow cover. Be sure to check your email for updates. We will also post info on our website and Facebook page. Stay tuned and fingers crossed for a little more snow!
